Knock Knock – Who’s There?

fUTURE

God gives us innumerable opportunities… Have you stopped to consider the opportunities He is giving you right now? Maybe the opportunity is to start over, to leave behind any inadequate habits and start fresh. Moreover the opportunity might be for you to forgive someone who hurt you or maybe the person you need to forgive the most is yourself.

What choice are you going to make? How long are you going to mourn for something you lost? How long are you going to be stuck in the past, regretting the decisions and mistakes  you made? How about using every opportunity we have to grow, to learn, and foremost, to give ourselves the chance to turn the awful into the exceptional. If we decide to turn the page, we might find blank pages to write our future.

Knock knock!

Who’s there?

So when opportunity knocks are you going to open the door or are you going to walk away? The choice is always ours. Take advantage of opportunities in life, learn to use whatever it is that life is throwing at you to be a blessing in someone else’s lives.

“You must learn, you must let God teach you, that the only way to get rid of your past is to make a future out of it. God will waste nothing.”

– Phillips Brooks

“THEY do me wrong who say I come no more
When once I knock and fail to find you in;
For every day I stand outside your door
And bid you wake, and rise to fight and win.

Wail not for precious chances passed away!
Weep not for golden ages on the wane!
Each night I burn the records of the day–
At sunrise every soul is born again!

Dost thou behold thy lost youth all aghast?
Dost reel from righteous Retribution’s blow?
Then turn from blotted archives of the past
And find the future’s pages white as snow.

Art thou a mourner? Rouse thee from thy spell;
Art thou a sinner? Sins may be forgiven;
Each morning gives thee wings to flee from hell,
Each night a star to guide thy feet to heaven.

Laugh like a boy at splendors that have sped,
To vanished joys be blind and deaf and dumb;
My judgments seal the dead past with its dead,
But never bind a moment yet to come.

Though deep in mire, wring not your hands and weep;
I lend my arm to all who say “I can!”
No shame-faced outcast ever sank so deep
But yet might rise and be again a man!”
